Richard Warren Brown, 45, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, in Henderson, NV following a two year fight with Lung cancer.

Richard was born on March 1, 1980 in Inglewood, CA to Mack Brown, Jr. and Sonya Foster-Brown. He lived a full life of joy and inclusion despite both developmental and physical health challenges. He grew up loving animals and playing outside in the woods of Nashua, NH and settled into the Las Vegas heat against the desert landscape and night lights as a teenager.

Richard graduated from Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, NV with pride in 1999 alongside his sister, Tiana. Being connected to Opportunity Village and Transition Services of Las Vegas, NV allowed Richard to experience and contribute to the workforce in various ways over the years, including completing landscaping tasks and beautifying spaces. At the latter he served as a team lead over a team of 5 peers.

Richard loved watching action and scary movies, with the Friday the 13th series being a main staple. He enjoyed video games like Grand Theft Auto, and Sonic the Hedgehog. He collected gold and silver chains, rings and bracelets. He was an accomplished runner and participated in the Special Olympics as a child.

He enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces and nephew and was always eager to join them in a game of Uno, "I Declare War!" or to ride roller coasters.

Richard is survived by his mother Sonya Foster-Brown, sister Tiana Brown Purvis, brother LaGean Brown (Candace Brown-spouse), nieces Tahira Johnson, Jahzara Purvis and Chloe Brown, nephew Elijah Purvis, cousins Nicole Robertson (Jordan Green, Aleyah Robertson, Tyson Green) and Derrell Robertson (King Robertson), Aunt Alycia Foster-Scott and Uncle Donald James.

Richard is preceded in death by his beloved father, Mack Brown, Jr.

Richard fought silently with strength and never ending grace daily until being called home on Sunday October 5, 2025, a day before his father's birthday. We believe his father Mack welcomed and walked Richard into the gates of heaven, caring for him with guidance and love as he always did.

A service for Mr. Richard Brown will be held at a future date following his cremation.
