Kenneth Hallyburton (65) Husband of Caren, Dad of Brian Hallyburton and Lauren Taylor (Jason), Papa to Ariana, Kyra and Callan, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Daughter, Lauren, wrote this for her Dad:
It's hard to put into words the kind of father he was. He was present my whole life, always proud, and always believing in me. He made me feel like I could do anything, and I am who I am because of that. He was brilliant. He could build anything, fix anything, and always read the instruction manual- and frequently told me to do the same.
He and Jason built the Nevada Brew Works in Las Vegas together, and he finished second in his class at the Siebel Institute of Brewing at 59 years old. Quite the feat for someone who has hasn't used school math since dropping out of high school. But yes, he got his diploma... he took the GED and finished in the top 1% of all test takers.
He had a good heart, and always did the right thing. He was reliable, loving and the most wonderful dad. I had the best childhood. It feels like an honor to have been his daughter.
I could go on and on, but words just don't do him justice.
My dad passed away yesterday at 65 years old, surrounded by the people he loved most, squeezing Cal's tiny foot into my dad's once strong and calloused one. My brother, Brian, not letting go of his other hand. Mom had hers placed on his heart. Kyra wanting in on the action, squeezed herself between Uncle Brian and Mom. Jason stood at the foot for support. A canvased photo of Ari was placed in the middle of our loving circle as we watched him gently drift away from us.
Before he left, I told him to go get Ari. I only can imagine her finding him, reaching for his hand, and walking him into heaven the same way he once walked me thru my life.
I imagine him teaching her all the things and explaining how everything works and doing all the things she never got to do.
Hand in hand.
The same way we held his hand as he took his final breath.
